Children's Ministry

Children and families are an important part of our parish life. At St Paul's Accrington and St John's Baxenden, we want children to feel welcomed, valued and included as they explore the Christian faith, discover the stories of the Bible and grow together in friendship.

Across our two churches, we offer opportunities for children and families to worship, learn and participate in the life of the Church.

Sunday School at St John's

Our Sunday School at St John's offers children an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a welcoming and supportive environment. Through Bible stories, activities and conversation, children can learn about God and discover what following Jesus means in their everyday lives.

Visiting for the First Time?

You do not need to be a regular churchgoer to ask about our children's activities. If you're thinking about bringing your children along, please get in touch. We'll be happy to explain what is available and help you find the right gathering for your family.

Keeping Children Safe

The safety and wellbeing of children and young people are important to our parish. Our children's activities operate within the safeguarding arrangements of the Church of England and our parish.
